Who are we?

Satoshi So is a grassroots Bitcoin community based in Southampton, UK established Block Height 807372 ( in 2023 ). It began with a simple purpose: to meet others who care deeply about truth, freedom, sound money, and self-sovereignty.

What started as a few conversations over a drink has grown into a diverse community of open minds. We are Satoshi's Society - Satoshi SO. A place for learning, sharing, questioning, and building something that lasts.

Along side our Bitcoin meet-ups we hope to build a community hub where others have a platform to share and express themselves through writing, art, and exhibition. If you want to contribute or have ideas to share, please do get in touch.

Why Bitcoin?

Most people sense something’s wrong with the system but it’s hard to point to exactly what. Prices rise, trust falls, and the rules seem to change without warning. The money we use loses value, and with it, so does our time and freedom.

Bitcoin offers a different path. It’s open, incorruptible, and designed to protect rather than control. It doesn’t promise quick fixes but it does offer solid ground in a world that feels increasingly unstable.

For those willing to look closer, Bitcoin isn’t just an alternative but a quiet revolution hiding in plain sight.

Why do we meet?

Bitcoin isn’t just software, it’s a growing network of people who value freedom, responsibility, and truth. At Satoshi SO, we meet to connect with others who share those values. We're not just a meet-up, but a community bound by shared purpose and principles.

Whether you’re new to Bitcoin or have been down the rabbit hole for years, our meet-ups are a space to talk, learn, share and challenge ideas in the real world.

Face-to-face connections build trust. Conversations sharpen understanding. Local communities make Bitcoin stronger - from the ground up.

We don’t meet to speculate. We meet to build resilience, share knowledge, and support each other in navigating a changing world... one block at a time.

We are all Satoshi

The pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto vanished, leaving behind not just a revolutionary technology, but a profound responsibility.

In disappearing, Satoshi compelled every Bitcoin user to become Satoshi - to take ownership, to understand the system, to protect and propagate this gift.
